Brokering
Brokering/Licensing/Branding of New Products
Biovittoria engages in cooperative research and development activities with research companies and institutions. It does so for its own benefit as well as for the benefit of its clients.
Its goal is to:
- acquire ownership interests
- create partnerships
- obtain brokering and/or licensing rights to intellectual properties
These activities focus on functionally proven, safe, proprietary bioactive products, targeting the dietary supplement, personal care, functional food, and nutraceutical markets.
The Company is systematically reviewing the acquisition of bioactive candidates from world-class academic and scientific institutions worldwide. We regularly review ‘novel’ new product research and patents. Based on the results of the analysis of a given candidate, the team may pursue future relationships with the developers either as a broker/agent to identify licensing opportunities or as a purchaser of the IP to enable Biovittoria to independently develop and market the product.
The team conducts an initial review of new candidates to determine whether the product meets the following criteria:
- scientific validation to be safe and effective
- demonstrated consumer need and demand
- unique product positioning, with attention to qualities not found elsewhere
- limited material supply that can be controlled or leveraged by Biovittoria
- patented (or patentable) composition or technical processes
- cost-effective sourcing and production permitting the Company, its partners, and its customers, to enjoy reasonable profit margins
- clear and compelling verified market demand
Once the review is completed, the Company will communicate with the research facility or patent owner to explore the potential for joint product development.
The Company’s experience is that inventors will convey their product interests, in return for the expertise and funding necessary to commercialize the product, realizing returns from a license and/or equity allocation. This product acquisition and development strategy enables the Company to acquire ownership and licensing rights for front-end scientific research, further product validation and development costs, and to respond to market changes in a smooth ‘real-time’ manner. This further allows the Company to focus its resources on its proven strengths; scientific review, product conceptualization, management of product development, brand development, marketing, and sales.
For natural product development, Biovittoria will seek to reach its targeted end-markets through commercial agreements with suitable natural and mass market product marketers via multiple sub sectors. Biovittoria will establish licensing agreements with multiple third party marketers in the following sectors:
- Natural products industry
- Health professional market
- Mass market
- Multi level markets
- Catalogue customers
- Internet marketers
- Pet and animal industry
The Biovittoria Group has extensive and long-standing personal relationships with key market companies in all important market sectors. These relationships assist in arranging timely, direct presentations to the appropriate individuals empowered to make contractually binding decisions.
